Love the picture, but the tv comes preset with "automotion plus" turned on. This creates a weird looking picture that some call the Soap Opera Effect. It is hard to describe, but it is like you are watching a movie, except you are seeing it made with a high def hand held video camera. Very clear picture, but everything looks like a cheap video with poor production values.
The very simple solution is to go into the menu and shut off automotion plus. Problem solved. The result is a great tv with a great picture.
We love this TV. We already owned a 40" Samsung and have been familiar with their products. This TV lives up to all that has been written about it before. The internet connection is easy to operate and fun to use. The TV base is not as sturdy as I would have expected for such a large TV.
I just bought this TV and was totally blown over by it picture quality. HD pictures are looking really good. I hooked it up to my music system so I can not say anything about the sound.
Reading the reviews here, I was concerned about the glare but I have to say it is not as bad as I had feared.
I have not hooked it up to internet yet. Will update my review once I do so.
